The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named interior defensive lineman, a need the Buccaneers walked right past.
However the rest shakes out, Kilgore at that price is a win they earned. If Brazzell II pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

A premium they did not need to pay, Chris Brazzell II a notch or two before his time. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
No drama and no debate, Gabe Jacas went about where he belonged in slot 46. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jacob Rodriguez in the 77th overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jalon Kilgore in pick 116. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Beau Stephens. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
By-the-book stuff, Dallen Bentley at the 195th pick squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A quiet steal in the Round 7 slot: Keyshaun Elliott for less than the market said. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
