After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Falcons committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Jones has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 8th overall pick they get a passer to set the clock by. The biggest hole, addressed.
No edge and no loss on Devontez Walker in Round 2, Pick 11; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Cooper Beebe at No. 74 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Roman Wilson in pick 79 is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
