The Cowboys did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kingsley Suamataia fell into No. 87. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
If Trotter Jr. pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get the heartbeat of the defense, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on T'Vondre Sweat. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.

They paid a round early for Javon Baker in pick 173, more than the board wanted. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Kenny Logan Jr. at the Round 6 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A reach for Isaac Guerendo in Round 7, Pick 22; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
