There is reaching, and then there is Joe Milton III at slot 169. The Packers jumped the board by 31 and dared it to prove them wrong. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Cooper pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
