Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Seahawks would have aced it. Gracen Halton at the Round 3 slot is 32 spots clear of where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. On value alone, Jackson makes the weekend a net positive. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.32 · Pick 32 · Dillon Thieneman · S · rank 27
In the Round 1 slot they get a two-high chess piece at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
R2.32 · Pick 64 · Keylan Rutledge · OG · rank 74
They paid a round early for Keylan Rutledge in pick No. 64, more than the board wanted. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R3.32 · Pick 96 · Gracen Halton · DL · rank 128
This one needs a full-page explanation: Gracen Halton in slot 96, miles early. It fills a real need, too.
R6.7 · Pick 188 · Domani Jackson · CB · rank 179
Domani Jackson slipping to No. 188 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
