Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Cowboys spent pick No. 187 on Barryn Sorrell, a name the board had a full 141 spots lower. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered. The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.

If Kenneth Grant and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
