The Cowboys went off the board in a big way for Barryn Sorrell, 139 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
They banked enough surplus on Milroe to cover a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

In No. 12 they get a weapon on the perimeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
A reach for Alfred Collins in pick 44; a little patience would have been rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
TreVeyon Henderson in the 76th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Jalen Milroe at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Value said wait; Clay Webb in the 170th pick says they were not listening. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Barryn Sorrell in slot 172 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They talked themselves into Teddye Buchanan at the 174th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They jumped the gun on Jordan Hancock, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A minor need, but a need all the same.
