Whoever sat across the table from the Lions should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
Getting Delp where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Emmanuel Pregnon in the 50th pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Domonique Orange in the 97th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Steal is underselling it; Treydan Stukes at Round 4, Pick 18 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jude Bowry at pick No. 128 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They robbed the room for Oscar Delp here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Kaleb Elarms-Orr at slot 181 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A slide stopped in No. 197, with Taylen Green worth more than the price. The roster fit checks out.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jadon Canady. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
