After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Jackson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

They did well to land Troy Fautanu in No. 34, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Malachi Corley at the Round 3 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reach on Max Melton in slot 103; the board had better options right there. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
No drama and no debate, Dallin Holker went about where he belonged in the 139th pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Jha'Quan Jackson in pick No. 182 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
