Jordan should have been long gone. The Patriots pounced, and earned a C+.

2024 NFL Draft
· 7 picks
· 1 steals
· 4 reaches
Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Patriots came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Jordan. They will answer for taking TE-EDGE early while edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots went begging.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
So much rides on JC Latham that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 12th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. A clean fit for the roster.
Patrick Paul in the Round 2 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board had cheaper options than Jackson Powers-Johnson at pick 40, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A premium they did not need to pay, Christian Mahogany a notch or two before his time. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A want over a need in Round 3, Pick 18: Cade Stover adds a TE-EDGE while edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots keeps waiting.
Taulia Tagovailoa in the 224th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Circle this one: Jawhar Jordan at the Round 7 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
