The Chiefs' one glaring miss is tight end, a need they left exactly as they found it. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 32 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid sticker price for Blake Fisher in the 64th pick, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Leonard Taylor III in No. 95 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nehemiah Pritchett in Round 4, Pick 33 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A straight-up fair deal on Anthony Gould at slot 158, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
No drama and no debate, Walter Rouse went about where he belonged in the 172nd overall pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
