Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons left with their quarterback, and a B to match.

2024 NFL Draft
· 8 picks
· 3 steals
· 3 reaches
They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Falcons' quarterback, full stop.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Speights. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The Hall Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 8 they get the arm they will build around. The biggest hole, addressed.
Ja'Lynn Polk in the Round 2 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A reach for Michael Hall Jr. in slot 74; a little patience would have been rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A conviction pick on Darius Robinson at the 110th overall pick that the board grades a round light. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Nothing to complain about; Cam Hart went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Roger Rosengarten is a better player than pick No. 189 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Value with a capital V on Javon Baker in the 201st pick, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A linebacker of that caliber at No. 241 is the definition of value, full stop. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
