B-
Houston Texans
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Texans.

· 8 picks
· 1 steals
· 5 reaches
There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Texans started one anyway for De'Corian Clark, 31 picks ahead of schedule.
They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Turner to cover a lot of smaller sins. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a problem off the edge, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
T'Vondre Sweat at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
No drama and no debate, Marist Liufau went about where he belonged in No. 85. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They paid a round early for Jaheim Bell in pick No. 123, more than the board wanted. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A reach on Malik Mustapha in the 127th pick; the board had better options right there. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They reached a country mile for De'Corian Clark at pick 164, and the board is aghast. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Carson Steele at No. 239 is a conviction pick that outran the value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They paid up for Tanner McLachlan at the Round 7 slot when waiting would have done the job. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
