Thirty-one other rooms let Damien Martinez slide, and the Texans were the ones holding the card at the 243rd pick. Highway robbery. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The Broughton reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Job largely done: running back settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

In No. 25 they get a disruptive interior force. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
TreVeyon Henderson at pick No. 58 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Vernon Broughton at Round 3, Pick 25 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A real head-scratcher, Connor Colby in slot 127 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Steal is underselling it; Logan Brown at the 167th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
You do not let a running back like Damien Martinez reach pick 243 and blink. They did not. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
