You could see the war room lean forward. Danny Stutsman at No. 151 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
The cost of the Robinson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 16 they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They paid sticker price for Tyleik Williams in No. 47, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jayden Higgins in slot 78 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Ty Robinson at the 113th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
Somehow Danny Stutsman was still sitting there in the Round 5 slot, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
