They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Bryce Boettcher, 39 picks early at the Round 4 slot. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The McNeil-Warren pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 27 they get a moveable chess piece at tight end, outstanding value to boot.
They let Emmanuel McNeil-Warren come to them and pounced at the 60th pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Isaiah World in the 127th overall pick, miles early. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A big swing on Mason Reiger at pick 129, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A wild overpay on Bryce Boettcher in pick No. 133, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Dametrious Crownover at Round 4, Pick 38 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Nadame Tucker in pick No. 139 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
By-the-book stuff, Fa'alili Fa'amoe at the 241st pick squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
