When the story of this class is written, it opens with Mason Reiger at slot 109, a reach of 39 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
They liked Max Iheanachor enough to skip the value, taking him in the 33rd overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They did well to land Emmanuel Pregnon in pick 44, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and A.J. Haulcy at the 58th pick is the proof. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They went early on Ted Hurst in pick No. 74, and the value did not follow. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Deion Burks in the Round 3 slot. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
