The Cardinals put a flag in the ground for Shemar Turner, 76 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On value alone, Walker makes the weekend a net positive. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 16 they get a building block for the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Shemar Turner at No. 47 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Nice patience on Deone Walker, who had no business lasting to the Round 3 slot. It fills a real need, too.
They went early on Jeffrey Bassa in pick No. 114, and the value did not follow. The roster fit checks out.
A wild overpay on Cobee Bryant in the 153rd overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
