You build a draft on nights like this. Demetrius Knight Jr. had no business being available in pick 151, and the Cardinals did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
The Broughton reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.
On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
