The rest of the league will want that one back. Jeff Caldwell tumbling to the Rams in the Round 7 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Every board in the league had Sturdivant lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get a downhill thumper at linebacker. More want than need.
Chase Bisontis at Round 2, Pick 29 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Daylen Everette at No. 93 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A minor itch, scratched.
Keagen Trost in slot 207 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Jeff Caldwell in pick 232 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Value said wait; J. Michael Sturdivant in pick No. 251 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A tidy little value on Xavier Nwankpa in the 252nd overall pick, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
