The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
They are betting Davis proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 5th overall pick they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
They liked Jordan Morgan enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 37. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Jonathon Brooks in slot 54 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A tidy little value on Malachi Corley in the 69th pick, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They took Tyleik Williams at par in Round 4, Pick 5, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They talked themselves into Ben Sinnott at the Round 5 slot, and the board did not agree. The roster fit checks out.
A real head-scratcher, Jasheen Davis in No. 183 is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
