The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 6 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A real need, handled.
Keon Coleman slid further than he should have, and pick 39 is lovely value for the wide receiver. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Amarius Mims at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A safety of that caliber at the 70th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Mike Sainristil in Round 4, Pick 7 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
