They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
That Wilson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 6 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A real need, handled.
They robbed the room for Troy Fautanu here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Xavier Worthy slid further than he should have, and pick No. 70 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Taking Payton Wilson in No. 107 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Elijah Jones in the 141st overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
