Start where it matters. The Giants took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Coleman at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Tyler Guyton in the 47th overall pick, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Keon Coleman at Round 3, Pick 6 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
No edge and no loss on Ben Sinnott in pick 124; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Isaac Guerendo in slot 131 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The roster fit checks out.
Steal is underselling it; Josh Newton at the 141st pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Marist Liufau at No. 183 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Fair-plus on Josh Proctor, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
