The phones were a trap the Giants kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. There is no dressing it up: a F.
Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th overall pick they get the face of the franchise at fair value.
In the 7th pick they get a matchup problem out wide. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Jaylen Wright in Round 3, Pick 6 is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 107 with a little surplus value in Cam Hart. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nothing to complain about; Beau Brade went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
