The Giants clearly saw something nobody else did in Audric Estime, taking him 49 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Milton III at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Malik Nabers in Round 1, Pick 6 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
In slot 27 they get a premier pass rusher, even if it was a touch early.
A big swing on Audric Estime at pick No. 47, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A reach on Cooper Beebe in the Round 3 slot; the board had better options right there. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Value said wait; Dylan Laube in No. 107 says they were not listening. The roster fit checks out.
Kitan Oladapo at the 143rd pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They robbed the room for Joe Milton III here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
