Call it larceny. Tyler Warren sat on the board until slot 89, and the Texans did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
If Griffith pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

T.J. Sanders in pick 25 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Somehow Tyler Booker was still sitting there in No. 58, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Tyler Warren at pick No. 89 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board had cheaper options than Jaylin Noel at the Round 4 slot, and it noticed. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Circle this one: Sonny Styles at the 165th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They reached into another round for Thor Griffith, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
