The rest of the league will want that one back. Bhayshul Tuten tumbling to the Texans in pick 241 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Kandra pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Job largely done: running back settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Tyler Warren at pick 58 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Luke Kandra at the 89th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They robbed the room for Andrew Mukuba here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Smael Mondon Jr. in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Bhayshul Tuten in pick No. 241, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
