You could see the war room lean forward. Bhayshul Tuten at pick 241 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
Mason Graham in pick 25 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A slide stopped in slot 58, with Tyler Warren worth more than the price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Steal is underselling it; Dylan Fairchild at the 89th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Circle this one: Tez Johnson at the Round 4 slot is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A safety of that caliber at pick No. 165 is the definition of value, full stop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Bhayshul Tuten in No. 241 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
