Somebody in pick 122 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Texans sat still while Andrew Mukuba, the No. 71 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 19 they get a disruptive interior force. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They will replay Tyler Booker at the 55th pick for years; that is how good the value is. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
