The Texans did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Smael Mondon Jr. fell into No. 241. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
Reaching for Jackson left real value on the table behind him. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
