When a board-topper like Ollie Gordon II slides to the 235th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Texans did not. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Every board in the league had Nwankpa lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Somehow Andrew Mukuba was still sitting there in No. 120, and they pounced on premier safety value. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They reached into another round for Xavier Nwankpa, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
