You could see the war room lean forward. Bhayshul Tuten at No. 241 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Tyler Booker in slot 58 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Omarr Norman-Lott slid further than he should have, and the 89th overall pick is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Andrew Mukuba in pick 126, plain and simple. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Steal is underselling it; Kevin Winston Jr. at No. 164 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Bhayshul Tuten at Round 7, Pick 25 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
