The Texans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 151 name on the board, in No. 241. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a wrecking ball inside. The biggest hole, addressed.
They barely believed it either: Tyler Booker still on the board at the 58th pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Somehow Jalen Royals was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They will replay Kevin Winston Jr. at pick 126 for years; that is how good the value is. A minor itch, scratched.
The board fumbled Oronde Gadsden II all the way to pick No. 165, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Taking Bhayshul Tuten in No. 241 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
