Thirty-one other rooms let Ollie Gordon II slide, and the Texans were the ones holding the card at the 241st overall pick. Highway robbery. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. Every board in the league had Jackson lower, and that gap is the story.
They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

In pick No. 25 they get a blindside protector, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
Donovan Jackson at the 58th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Taking Andrew Mukuba in slot 89 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They talked themselves into DeMonte Capehart at the Round 4 slot, and the board did not agree. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
