The Texans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kevin Winston Jr., the No. 93 name on the board, in the 164th overall pick. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 25 they get a run-stuffing presence up front at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Circle this one: Tate Ratledge at pick 58 is a fall that decides a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Somehow Tyler Warren was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 25, and they pounced on premier tight end value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
