The Texans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Cam Skattebo, the No. 110 name on the board, in slot 241. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The cost of the Kandra reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
Mason Graham in the 25th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Tyler Warren in the Round 2 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They jumped the gun on Luke Kandra, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Kevin Winston Jr. in pick 126 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.

Cam Skattebo in pick No. 241 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
