When a board-topper like Ollie Gordon II slides to No. 241, you do not overthink it, and the Texans did not. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
Tetairoa McMillan in the 25th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Taking Tyler Booker in the 58th overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They read the board right and Omarr Norman-Lott was the payoff at pick 89. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Circle this one: Kevin Winston Jr. at the Round 4 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
The board fumbled Sonny Styles all the way to Round 5, Pick 28, and they scooped it up. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Ollie Gordon II in pick No. 241 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
