This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 151 name on the board, stolen at the Round 7 slot. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Every board in the league had Kandra lower, and that gap is the story.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get an anchor for the defensive front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Tyler Warren at Round 2, Pick 26 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
They paid a round early for Luke Kandra in No. 89, more than the board wanted. It fills a real need, too.
You do not let a safety like Andrew Mukuba reach the 126th overall pick and blink. They did not. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Somehow Kevin Winston Jr. was still sitting there in slot 165, and they pounced on premier safety value. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Taking Bhayshul Tuten in the 241st pick is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
