You could see the war room lean forward. Ollie Gordon II at pick No. 241 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Tyler Booker at the 58th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The roster fit checks out.
The board fumbled Tyleik Williams all the way to Round 3, Pick 25, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Kevin Winston Jr. in slot 126 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Circle this one: Oronde Gadsden II at the 165th pick is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Somehow Ollie Gordon II was still sitting there in pick 241, and they pounced on premier running back value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
