This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Cam Skattebo, the No. 114 name on the board, stolen at Round 7, Pick 23.
They are betting Nwankpa proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 19th overall pick they get a wrecking ball inside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Circle this one: Tyler Booker at the 55th pick is a fall that decides a draft. It fills a real need, too.
By-the-book stuff, Donovan Jackson at No. 86 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Xavier Nwankpa at the Round 4 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A minor itch, scratched.
Eli Stowers in Round 5, Pick 27 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
