You could see the war room lean forward. Bhayshul Tuten at pick 241 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 25 they get a weapon on the perimeter, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They robbed the room for Tyler Booker here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Tyler Warren at pick No. 89 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Kevin Winston Jr. in pick 126 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Barrett Carter in No. 165 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Bhayshul Tuten at Round 7, Pick 25 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
