This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Cam Skattebo, the No. 110 name on the board, stolen at pick 241.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The back end got a real overhaul.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a ballhawk on the back end, and a steal at that.
Steal is underselling it; Tyler Booker at the 58th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Circle this one: Alfred Collins at slot 89 is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A straight-up fair deal on Oronde Gadsden II at the Round 4 slot, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Sonny Styles in pick No. 165 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Taking Cam Skattebo in No. 241 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
