The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Texans watched Barrett Carter slide 160 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

In the 25th overall pick they get a wrecking ball inside, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at Round 2, Pick 26 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They robbed the room for Tyler Warren here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Somehow Dylan Fairchild was still sitting there in the 126th pick, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Sonny Styles at pick No. 165 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It adds depth where they could use a little.
