Start where it matters. The Commanders took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
On value alone, Clark makes the weekend a net positive. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Robinson reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 2 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A real need, handled.
A conviction pick on Jackson Powers-Johnson at No. 36 that the board grades a round light. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Tyler Guyton in the 40th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Cooper Beebe at pick No. 67 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Gabriel Murphy at the Round 4 slot. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Darius Robinson in the 103rd overall pick, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Ben Sinnott in slot 138 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Nothing to complain about; Jaylan Ford went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
The board fumbled De'Corian Clark all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
