The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Jaylin Simpson, the No. 151 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 217 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Every board in the league had Robinson lower, and that gap is the story. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
