The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Evan Williams, the No. 214 name on the board, in the 255th overall pick. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Every board in the league had Okie-Anoma lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
Amarius Mims at pick No. 25 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jackson Powers-Johnson is a better player than Round 2, Pick 9 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A straight-up fair deal on Payton Wilson at pick 58, value and slot in agreement. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A tidy bit of business in the 88th pick, where Max Melton graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson in slot 91. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
