For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Cephus.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 24 they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Jackson Powers-Johnson at Round 2, Pick 24 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No edge and no loss on Marist Liufau in No. 87; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Braelon Allen this early at pick 124. It fills a real need, too.
They paid sticker price for Jaylan Ford in slot 174, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
