Nobody had David Ugwoegbu this high, and it is not close. The Dolphins reached 109 spots to get him at slot 217. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. The trade work was a quiet net positive. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 30th pick they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Kingsley Suamataia at No. 55 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Ruke Orhorhoro at Round 2, Pick 30 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
