Somewhere a general manager is explaining how TreVeyon Henderson got past him. The Vikings do not have to explain a thing at the Round 5 slot. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They will need Stewart to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 31 they get a problem off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Taking Andrew Mukuba in slot 97 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jake Majors in the 140th pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
TreVeyon Henderson in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
